Aces Still in the Hunt

After suffering a heart break loss Saturday vs Lasalle Turtle Club, the Aces were back on the field Sunday, this time facing Toronto High Park Braves. After coming back twice to tie the game, once down 3-0, and then 5-3, the Aces could not get their Bat MoJo going to finally fall 7-5. This loss does not set back the Aces though....as for today Monday they will enjoy a day off before playing their semi final game Tuesday @ 10:00. They will face either the High Park Braves or the Pincrest Patriots.

Minor Aces lose first game of the Tournament

With 1st place on the line, the Aces were facing the Lasalle Turtle Club in a match up of undefeated teams at the Provincials in Timmins. With a strong start, great pitching, awesome defense and clutch hitting, the Aces dominated the first five innings to take a 9-2 lead heading into the 6th inning. The top of the 6th was a hitting parade for Turtle Club, scoring 8 runs on solid hits after solid hits to supprise the Aces and take the lead 10-9. The Aces coudn't score a run in the botom of the 6th, and suffered thier first loss of the Tournament.

It was by far the most entertaining game of the tournament from the first pitch on. The Aces will finish round robin play tomorrow vs Toronto High Park. With rain affecting the schedule of the tournament, the boys will only play their first playoff game (semis) on Tuesday.

The Minor Aces Keep on Rolling

After and awesome 2-0 start, the Aces needed a victory on day 3 against the host team Timmins to guarantee them a spot in the semi-finals.

Our little CRLL men showed that they are for real, with great pitching, defence and hitting scoring 12 runs and only allowing 3.

Next up is a battle against another 3-0 team Lasalle Turtle Club for 1st overall Saturday afternoon at 3pm.
